COMMUNITY NEEDS & OPPORTUNITIES SURVEY

Your community. Your experiences. Your voice.

Start the survey

We want to hear from children, young people, parents, carers and people working with families across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

We know that families and communities face different challenges. These may include the rising cost of living, limited affordable activities, transport difficulties, loneliness and a lack of safe places for children to spend time.

We want to understand what is happening in your community, what support is already available and what could make a positive difference.

Your answers will help us understand

  • The challenges facing children and families.
  • How financial pressures affect access to activities.
  • Whether enough affordable activities and safe spaces are available.
  • What children and young people enjoy and would like to try.
  • What prevents families from accessing existing opportunities.
  • What local organisations could do to better support children and families.

Before you start

It is anonymous
We will not ask for your name, address or contact details in your survey answers. At the end you can choose to leave an email address in a separate form, if you would like Benzone to get in touch.
It takes about 5 to 8 minutes
Some optional sections take a little longer, and you can skip them.
Children can answer too
Children aged 5 to 7 get a shorter version with pictures.
There are no right or wrong answers

This survey is not an emergency support service

Nobody reads the answers straight away, and because they are anonymous we cannot reply to them. If a child is in immediate danger call 999. If you are worried about a child, our safeguarding page has the routes that reach someone who can act, including out of hours.
