- Enterprise
That list is a starting point, not a limit. If you can do something and you would enjoy sharing it, we would like to hear from you.
What you bring
- Something you know how to do and enjoy doing.
- A couple of hours, on a date that suits you.
- Patience with a group who may never have tried it before.
- Nothing else. No qualification, no lesson plan and no equipment of your own.
What we sort out
- The group, the venue and the session plan.
- Materials, agreed with you before the day.
- A Benzone facilitator in the room throughout. You are never left running it alone.
- Safeguarding. References and a DBS check at the right level are ours to arrange, not yours.
How we recruit and train the people in our sessions is set out on our safeguarding page.
How it goes from here
-
You tell us what you can do
The form below takes a couple of minutes. There is no CV and no interview.
-
We talk it through
What you enjoy doing, which group it would suit, and how much time you actually have.
-
Planning and checks
We plan the session with you. If you go on to work with young people regularly, we arrange the checks that role needs.
-
You show them how
You do the part you are good at. Someone from Benzone runs the room around you.
Share a skill with young people
Tell us what you can do and roughly when you are free. Expressing interest commits you to nothing.
Would rather give time than teach?
Sessions need people to set up, help at the table and be a steady adult in the room. That matters as much as the skill at the front.
